High Strength Low Alloy steel plates (HSLA) are characterised by a high ductility, controlled internal purity, fine grain structure and a low carbon content. Which combine outstanding mechanical properties, high strength, toughness, fatigue resistance, good formability and good weldability. They are used in a wide range of applications in transport (earth movers, trailers, agricultural and railroad machinery etc), profiling (racks etc) and building (cranes, safety barriers, light poles etc).Significant weight reductions can be achieved by using HSLA, especially for cranes and heavy vehicle trailers, thus allowing a larger payload.
Thickness 10-150mm and width 1500-3000mm are available.
